Awareness

Origin: Old English
Awareness is the capacity to consciously observe your inner and outer experiences — thoughts, emotions, sensations, behaviors, and surroundings — without immediately reacting to them. Awareness creates the space that allows us to respond instead of react. It is the foundation of self-reflection, choice, and transformation.
